I am a proud member of Alliance for Girls, the nation’s largest regional alliance of girls’ organizations with 170 members serving more than 300,000 girls and young women in the Bay Area every year.
On Tuesday, May 23 the Alliance is hosting its 5th Annual Together We Rise summit in Oakland, California. The summit is an incredible opportunity for anyone who is invested in creating a better future for all by supporting girls and young women today.
At the summit more than 500 girls’ champions from across the country will convene to learn how to amplify girls’ voices using media and art, elect women representatives who will fight for pro-girl policies, build inclusive gender justice movements, and more!
Keynote speakers include:
- Stephanie Schriock, CEO of Emily’s List – an organization that has elected more than 900 women into local, state and federal legislatures.
- Kalisha Dessources, Former Policy Advisor to the White House Council on Women and Girls under the Obama Administration.
- Genevieve Angelson, actress best known for her role as Patti Robinson in Good Girls Revolt.
- Thuy Vu, five-time emmy award winning journalist.
