Dr Carol is a native of Massachusetts, who has called San Francisco home since 1999.  She is a higher education professional of 15 years and researcher of self-esteem.  She is dedicated to women’s issues having focused her dissertation on– The effects of single gender versus coeducational environments on the self-esteem development and academic competence of high school females.  Beyond her dissertation, she has written articles for pre-teen magazines related to this very important topic.  Dr. Carol is highly interested in issues related to female self-esteem development as well as the challenges students face today related to access and education.  She hopes this site will help shed some light on the important issues that young women face all over the world and provide teens and parents with some helpful tools.
